Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using AJ-CV ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to all of these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.

2. Eligibility & Invite-Only Access

AJ-CV is a private, invite-only platform. Access is granted exclusively as follows:

• You must receive an explicit invitation from an AJ-CV administrator.
• Access is granted only upon manual admin approval. Registering an account does not automatically grant access to the platform.
• You must be at least 16 years of age to use this service.
• Admin approval may be revoked at any time, at the sole discretion of AJ-CV administrators.

3. Account Responsibilities

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You must not share your account with others or allow unauthorised access.
• You must notify us immediately of any suspected unauthorised use.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

4. The Service — AI-Powered CV Tools

AJ-CV provides AI-assisted tools including:

• CV tailoring and optimisation for specific job descriptions.
• Cover letter generation.
• Interview preparation materials.
• ATS gap analysis and keyword optimisation.

Important: Our AI enhances existing content only. We do not fabricate experience, qualifications, or credentials. You are solely responsible for the accuracy and truthfulness of any CV or document submitted to potential employers.

5. AJ Coins & Payments

• AJ Coins are a virtual in-app currency used to access paid features.
• Coins are purchased via Stripe and are non-refundable once used.
• Unused coins have no cash value and are non-transferable.
• We reserve the right to adjust coin pricing with reasonable notice.
• Promotional coins (e.g. sign-up bonus) may not be redeemable for cash.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to generate fraudulent, deceptive, or misleading documents.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or exploit the platform.
• Upload content that violates third-party intellectual property rights.
• Use automated tools to access the Service without written permission.
• Attempt to circumvent invite-only access controls.

7. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of all CV content and data you upload. You grant AJ-CV a limited, non-exclusive licence to process your content solely for delivering the Service. AJ-CV retains all rights to its platform, technology, and AI systems.

8. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. AJ-CV does not guarantee employment outcomes or interview success. To the maximum extent permitted by law, AJ-CV shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for coins in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for breach of these Terms or at our sole discretion (as this is an invite-only platform). Upon termination, your right to access the Service ceases immediately. Coin balances are forfeited upon termination for cause.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via in-app notice at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
